arts events. The juried show is held each year on Mother's Day at Rocky
Mount City Hall and the Arts Center.

- Dan Finch Pottery Open House
- (2nd Sunday in November)
- Located in Bailey, the studio home of potter and instructor Dan Finch
plays host once a year to approximately 50 eastern North Carolina potters
offering works for exhibit and sale. The 1999 event boasted an attendance
of roughly 6,000. Mr. Finch and his non-profit organization, "Homes
for Bluebirds, Inc.," have been featured on television specials and
public broadcasting. Located two and one half miles north of Bailey
of Highway 581.
