- A new look for an old tradition. Holiday floats, marching bands, postal workers collecting "letters to Santa" along the parade route and Santa leaving for the North Pole in a very different way.

- Experience the 1800's at "Home for the Holidays" at historic Stonewall. Gallery shop, workshops, gingerbread house contest, seasonal readings and concerts, a period Santa and horse-drawn carriage rides.
- Festival of Lights
- (December)
- Rocky Mount and Nash County homes, businesses and hotels illuminated for the holiday season. Self guided maps and an event calendar are available at area hotels and the Visitors Bureau.
- Bailey Christmas Parade
- (December)
- Held the 1st Saturday of December. Floats, music, vendors, and bands will bring in the holiday season.

- Nashville Parade and Tree Lighting
- (December)
- Enjoy a small-town celebration as local bands perform before children on decorated wagons, bikes and strollers parading down main street followed by carols and a visit from Santa.
- MLK Christmas Luminaries Celebration

- Lumaries celebrating the lives of the loved ones will light up the walks and Memorial in Martin Luther King, Jr. Park. This very special event is presented annually by the MLK Park Walkers Club and the Rocky Mount Senior Programs Division.

- The area's finest voices come together for this festival of seasonal music. It's a traditional evening you do not want to miss.
- Christmas in Spring Hope

- Held the first Thursday evening in December. Living Nativity and live music. Stores opened late with free refreshments and free raffle. 5-8pm.
- Sunset Easter
- (Saturday before Easter)
- Sunset Park celebrates Spring with an Easter egg hunt, entertainment, a petting zoo, children's games and other outdoor fun.
